Invitation to Guest Lecture ’The History and Role of the European Parliament in European Integration’

Guest lecture by Dr. Christian Salm - European Parliamentary Research Service

13.03.2018 kl. 14.30 - 13.03.2018 kl. 16.15

The European Parliament is the only directly elected body within the EU’s institutional triangle. Throughout the past six decades it evolved from a ‘talking shop’ to a genuine co-legislator, and thus to a key player in EU politics.

Dr. Christian Salm (European Parliamentary Research Service, Brussels) will talk about the development of the European Parliament from a historical perspective, the EP’s direct elections as well as its impact on EU policy development over time.

All students and employees of Aalborg University are welcome!

Best wishes,
